Description

We need to extend the length. We might:

  • extend the introductory presentation
  • introduce ggplot/ggtree for tree construction (may require a WebR walkthrough again)
  • introduce a pair investigation/discussion point
  • introduce extremophile secondary problem (using Taq - looking for new variants?)
  • more tree questions in the formative quiz
  • use Galaxy and compare/contrast NJ/ML, and use bootstrapping
  • industrial strains of Lactobacillus (yoghurt)/Streptomyces (antibiotics)
  • limited reconstruction of ToL
